In January 2020, The World Health Organization published its first Disease Outbreak News on a novel coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, a new strain of a highly contagious flu virus first reported in Wuhan, China. By March 13, President Donald Trump declared the Covid-19 pandemic a national emergency in the U.S., the first time such a declaration has been issued over an infectious disease outbreak since 2009. The United States of America officially was in crisis.
