By late June 2020, the number of daily casualties from coronavirus had dropped dramatically across the entire state. And by July 6, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that New York City could begin entering Phase III of reopening businesses. It appeared the worst was over. New Yorks recovery was considered a model of success. Now, on the other side of the storm, residents began to reflect on the lessons learned, society, health, vaccination and the silver lining.
